The package teaches children: Why Do People Work; Where Do People Work; Tool School and Team Power. It gives students the knowledge to one-day make educated decisions on where their interests and skills lie enabling them to productively join the workforce.

In the Work Power Classpack each child receives 4 activity books that describe separate aspects of working. Work Power sticker sheets are used to emphasize job related lessons. Students visit a virtual town on the Work Power CD-ROM where they learn the who, what, when, where and why of the working world. The learning process is continued with two puppet hosts on an interactive game show video, where students are taught, through a question/answer format, the ins and outs of the workforce.

The curriculum guide implements a year long program broken down into four nine-week sections that correlate with the activity books. Suggestions for field trips, guest speakers and other activities are given throughout the guide.
