MegaSkills: Middle School
Video

Keeping middle school students on the right learning track is the goal of this video. Middle school students must be taught to become self-disciplined learners in order to prepare for high school and the years to come. Dr. Rich discusses with a studio audience, made up of educators and parents, ways to integrate MegaSkills education into the curriculum at school and their lives at home.
Many topics discussed in the Middle School MegaSkills book are also touched upon in the video. They include: How can we help children take feedback and criticism constructively? How can we help children understand how their behavior affects others? How can we help children get organized and stay that way? How can we help children work more cooperatively with others? How can we help children deal with peer pressure and prevent negative habits? How can we help children participate actively in school? How can we help children keep lines of communications open? How do we get students to keep reading? How do we help students learn to resolve conflicts? and How do we build and expand parent involvement?
This video and discussion session helps parents and teachers understand how they use MegaSkills in their everyday life and how they are important so that they realize the importance of teaching MegaSkills to children.
