The Red the Firedog Series is an entertaining way for children to learn about fire safety and prevention. The three age appropriate videos give students a well-rounded knowledge of fire prevention and safety. In Our Friends The Firefighters students take a tour of a firehouse to learn that firefighters are nice people even if they appear scary in their uniforms. They are able to see what a firefighter does, where they work and what tools they use to put out fires.
The Mystery of Home Hot Spots shows children how to play safe inside and prevent home fires. A young narrator uses her detective skills to uncover several hotspots around the house. Students learn what is safe and what is not.
The final video in this series is Red The Firedog and the Three P’s of Fire Safety. In this video kids learn to prevent, prepare and plan for fires. They also learn that it is important to always be ‘ruff and ready’ when it comes to fire safety. The short and captivating videos keep children's attention while the message is reinforced through activity books, stickers, pledge cards and many other support materials. It is important to teach kids the dangers of fire and what to do if fire happens to them.
