Fire Prevention Package
Package
It is never too early to begin teaching children the dangers of fire. Children are sure to learn and remember how to be fire safe with Syndistar’s Fire Prevention Package containing these three age appropriate videos and accompanying activity sheets.
The children learn through repetition of images and songs. They understand how to get low and crawl under smoke, what a smoke detector sounds like, and not to play with matches. The first video, Grandpa Joe’s Secret, children learn how dangerous playing with matches can be. Grandpa Joe tells a story about when he was a young boy and thought that matches were not dangerous and in the end burned down his clubhouse. Children learn to tell a grown-up if they ever find matches or lighters and to never touch them because they are tools and not toys.
In The Birthday Gift That Beeped a young boy gives his grandfather a smoke alarm for his birthday after learning of their importance at school. The lessons taught in this video include maintaining a smoke alarm, exit strategy and other fire safety procedures for the home.
The final video, Fire Drills at School, stresses the importance of practicing fire drills even in school. Children learn what to do in the event a fire alarm sounds when they are with the class or off by themselves. They also learn to stop, drop and roll if their clothes were to ever catch on fire.
The important lessons learned in these videos are reinforced in the I Don’t Play With Matches Activity Book. This book contains games and coloring activities to help students remember to be fire safe no matter if they are outside playing, at home or in school.
Fires can be deadly, but with the proper precautions and know how we can keep our loved one out of harms way. Get information to even the youngest of children with Syndistar’s Fire Prevention Package!
