Each magazine is 16 colorful pages of word games, puzzles, and knowledge about the harmful effects of these substances, written to address one of three specific age groups -- upper elementary, middle school, or high school.

Students learn the mental, physical, emotional and social dangers of using alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. They also discover methods employed in advertising, entertainment media, or by their own peers to lure them into using these substances.

Through activities and exercises, students build vocabulary, problem solving, decision-making, and refusal skills. Mini-mags include a list of Web sites to visit for further information.
