Dewey D’s Formula for Good Decision Making
Video

This video uses clever illustrations, dramatic scenes, and contemporary graphics to teach upper elementary students how to make a good decision. By using an analogy of the invention of a health drink and the process of making a decision, Dewey compares good decision-making to a science experiment in four steps: define the problem, consider the choices, make a decision, and review the results.
Kids develop a better understanding of the abstract principle of decision making through the concrete analogy of a science experiment. They learn to examine their feelings to help them define the problem requiring a decision. Students see examples of good decision-making to which they can relate.
