A hip, teen narrator tells the story of how Tony avoided joining a gang. Viewers learn about the dangers of gang involvement and how gangs lure new members with false promises of belonging and protection. Young audiences are vividly shown the ruthlessness of gangs and the damage and destruction they cause.

"The Truth About Gangs" dispels the myths kids have about gangs as a "family without the rules and discipline." Kids watching this video will realize gangs do have rules, and breaking them can be deadly.
