The activities include – Number Hunt, Candy Count, Estimation at the Grocery Store, Shape Study, Symmetry, “Hello, my name is…”, Marketing the Perfect Pet, Can You Solve It? – Tangram Riddles, Slides, Flips and Turns, Math at Work, Numbers in the Newspaper, Making Change – Community Store, Patterns in Design, Sort it Out and Number Sense.
In addition to creative lesson plans, each spiral-bound manual contains a chart of 125 occupations, organized into 25 career clusters with descriptions of tasks, skills required, and salary ranges. There is also a calendar with career-related events, and numerous website addresses for teachers and students to explore.
