Start career education early with Syndistar’s Work Power Series for grades K – 3.
Describes in simple terms why people work, where they work and what tools they use. The four workbooks -- Why Do People Work?, Where Do People Work?, Tool School and Team Power -- give students activities to help them understand the working world.
Adventures in a working city are created on the Work Power CD-ROM. Students explore the virtual city, experiencing the lives of working people. The career discovery process continues with an interactive game show, in which two hosts challenge and expand their young viewers’ knowledge of the working world with trivia questions.
Work Power makes its young viewers aware that there is a continuum from the educational world they are just entering into the working world they previously compartmentalized as a ‘grownup thing’ of no significance to them. This early introduction to a subject which will grow in importance as they mature will enhance their prospects of making well-considered choices in the careers that will define their futures.
